Lovely picture. There’s something sweet and hypnotic about seeing rain through glass, though I will say I’m ready for the cold to go away completely. I love the yellow flowers in the corner of the picture. At least, I think I see flowers:) We’re supposed to have a big warm up coming, so I imagine you will, too. Have a great day at work, Christine!
Great Iphone pic.
I’ve just started using my Iphone for taking photos.
Have you downloaded any of the camera apps?
I went nuts and bought about a halff dozen in a day.
Thanks for sharing.
Julie, I didn’t even notice the flowers when I took the picture. Poor forlorn daffodils… I like your depiction of water on glass…
Thanks, Dale!
Frances, thanks for stopping by. I don’t have any apps for photos–I didn’t even know there were any. I’ll go check them out. But I usually will only install free ones….
My in-laws had a print of “The Kermess” in their cottage. I used to look at it quite a bit, but I didn’t know it was depicting a particular dance until I read William Carlos William’s poem about the painting, titled, “The Dance.” In the poem Williams focuses on the dancers’ bodies–their bellies and shanks [...]
The frozen socks have been a big hit with Red and Duffy. They chew on the knotted socks until the socks thaw, and then they play tug-of-war with them. This morning they ran in circles through the kitchen, living room, and dining room, and now they’ve gone to their separate corners to chew on fresh, [...]
My office looks out onto rat’s alley. Yes, I’m alluding to The Waste Land, but there really are rats down there. They must like the vat of discarded fast-food grease next to the parking deck. But there’s a view, with natural light. And the air conditioning works. A huge improvement on last year’s basement office.
I visited the Dalí exhibit again, this time with a poet friend who hosts the radio show melodically challenged on WRAS. Her program broadcasts on Sundays from 2:00-4:00 in the afternoon, and features poets reading their own works, along with music that enhances the show’s theme. One of the more recent playlists highlighted poems about [...]
The boys said he was six months old, but I’m not so sure. He chews on anything made of plastic, rubber, paper, or wood. One night he started chewing my toes under the blanket, not understanding the lumps were a part of me!

By the way, the little icons that pop up next to our names when we comment here are adorable.

I think four snow/ice events in one winter in Georgia is a record of some kind. It was pretty to watch the snow yesterday.
Oh wow. It’s so strange to think you’ve been living in snow while the sun’s been shining down on us in South Africa. Winter’s on it’s way though …
